The Fortuner is still very new and standard, so the owner didn't want to take too many chances.

I have heard that the "towbar/rear step" mess up the departure angle :?:

I was there in the landy, bacause my hilux is in the workshop
And no, I did not have to be towed through any obsticles.

I almost had a near fatal accident when a brake line burst on a very steep hill. Because I had no brakes I towed my friend's colt with him braking for me from behind. We had a good chuckle because it looked like the colt was broken and the disco was towing it. A red SFA passed us and the driver gave me a disgusted look, on the back there was a huge "land rover recovery vehicle" sticker, so he must have been very dissapointed to see the old disco towing the new colt behind it
