Suthern Drakensburg and a cold Sani pass

Post by Bernie »

I have just returned from a week fishing in the Southern Drakensburg at a place called Castleburn. It was cold, crisp and clear. The fishing was good but the main thing was the Sani Pass and the snow. I convinced the group that we should go up Sani on a tour bus which was great fun. A couple of days later we went again this time with Schwampy and a brand new 3 liter automatic, Toyota,4x4. Which by the way performed just great. The goal this time was to play in the snow.
Here are a couple of scenic shots and some of us in the Snow.

I don't know if this is the first Snow post of the session, it's close to Sani....it's cold...but it's there. At least it was last week.

When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
