santa maria 2009

Post by oom dan »

of all the places close to us santa maria in southern moz is always great you must allow 7hrs travelling time from SA boarder to the camp about 90kms especialy if you are towing a boat, T4A on a garmin will get you there. we went in the south gate to the elephant park but those poor ellies are "skate bang vir mense" very difficult to see, on this trip only murray could'nt make it here are pics of last trip. you don't have to take a boat fishing off the side is good

brian santa is very popular with the fly fishing guys and they catch an amazing variety of fish even rockod most of them target king fish and get smashed up if you want to see buggered tackel go to the gap when the kinggies are running plenty 30/40kg GT's knocking around the point you don't stop them with normal tackel!!! mates of ours fish the coast from malongane to millibangalala just for ignoblis.

hi bradley, my boys were last there in sept 11 no changes it is a sand track need one bar in tyres and 4x4 must have T4A take the south gate route little bit shorter. are you wanting to turbo your 5L? SAC doesn't recommend it, give them a call in vanderbjyl. always a good idea to go with 2 trucks and good tow rope ,very hot in january
