Mahai camp and Midmar

Post by Adventures4Christ »

Not sure how many have been to this camp site but we went to Midmar this weekend, most of the group went to swim the mile but when we got to the Mahai camp in Drankensberg, decided to stay in the camp for the day and what an awesome camp site!!!!!!

It must have been some of the most amazing scenery have seen in a very long time, legs are a bit stiff from all the hiking and swimming in teh freezing mountain pools but WOW WOW WOW!!!

It is clean, cheap and just perfect for family camping! I'm going to arrange a trip there next year through the group, difference is this time I'm going to swim the Midmar and stay an extra day or two there!!!

Will recommend this camp site any day!

My Fiance and I have been going there every second month or so and I personally have been going there since I was a laaitie

The Hiking is great, the scenery is amazing, campsite are well maintained and very clean and the fishing in the dam is good too.

Should be able to drive the Cruiser up that waterfall ...
Just because it says "4WD" doesn't make it an off-road vehicle.
