Hi all,

Some holiday photos from December - note that this was NOT done in my Hilux, but in the wife's Rav4, at least it is still a Toyota. These photos were all taken on my Sony Xperia Z smartphone, so quality is not always great.

True, went spinning almost every morning and evening, some shad and cob came out, but not plenty.

Deep sea to Mile 12 and 3, only one Yellowtail came out on Mile 3 reef. Me being used to Moz waters could not fathom the idea of being 12 km out to sea and in 40m deep water..

The commercial guys fishing through the evening caught plenty geelbek and the odd yellowtail.

Used to fish about 800m outside the harbour,just off the reef,great garrick (leervis),the great whites were a bit of a problem,especially being in a racing duck.

Sjoe that sound a bit crazy...we were on a 17ft sportfisher and was one of the smallest boats on the reef..

I felt safe,because of the stupid surfers which get towed out there by jet ski to do some surfing
At low tide you can stand on the rock shelf with the water coming up to your knees.Strange to stand there and look back at the small light house on the harbour wall.
