Cancelling Kalahari Trip - Anyone Interested?

Post by RJN »

I’ve got a overland trip booked for Kgalagadi, CKGR & Magadigadi all with Bots Parks from 16 Dec 2014 to 9 Jan 2015 for 2 persons. Unfortunately an unexpected medical emergency concerning my wife has put the brakes on this last minute. As such, I am going to have to cancel, however wondered if any on the forum would be interested before I go ahead and do so. Itinerary is:

Kgalagadi:
Rooiputs - 4 nights
Polentswa - 1 night
Swartpan(Kaa area) - 2 nights
Lesholoago (Mabuasehube) -5 nights

CKGR:
Leopard Pan - 6 nights
Phokoje - 3 nights

Magadigadi:
Tree Island - 2 nights

I’ve travelled these routes and stayed at these campsites numerous times, so can provide necessary trip info & route planning if required. If anyone is interested at such short notice and prepared to cover cost of booking (R6,500), give me a heads up.

Just some feedback on this, have decided to postpone the trip until next year rather than cancel. :cooldude: Bots parks are very accommodating with last minute arrangements (my experience anyway).

I know the short notice would not suit most as holiday commitments have already been made and this is a long trip. And don't want it to go to waste!!! :slap:
