Has anyone been to Moz recently?
We were thinking of going this last December but with all the recent issues with rebels we thought it best to give it a miss.. One of the students from my office went to inhambane and wasnt worried at all but he's a real tool so I cant take anything he says seriously.
I really want to go at the end of this year but that depends on the political situation etc..
Did anyone go to Mozambique recently?

Re: Did anyone go to Mozambique recently?
Evening.
I go up to inhambane 4 to 6 times a year now for last year and half. Was up there now for 17 days. I've had no issues at all ever. I've been stopped by cops few times, all they done check car papers and off you go again. As long as you dont speed, because they like to trap in towns alot. if stopped by officials just be polite and you will be on your way shortly.
The majority or the issues with the rebels causing bollie was more north than inhambane. There were a few issues lower down but majority was north, that was settles down because the voting was last October/November.

If you want to see what's happening in moz. Join a group on facebook called drivemoz. People post all. From route conditions, police and border conditions. Right now bridges have been washed away from heavy rains. Very helpful group.
Enjoy planning! ! Hopefully see you in moz soon
