Yip, got all the bearings and nuts and bolts, just looking for some U or C Channel with an opening of 34-36mm, then I'll get the rest of the material.

I'll post my design soon, a lot of it is from Polorbear2008.

Where can I get U-Channel with a gap of 34-36 mm? I tried 3 places no luck...

You could use this type of bearing too and they half the price from bearing man..............

626RS sealed Ball Bearing, it is made of Chrome Steel, this bearing is sealed with rubber seals to protect the bearing from dust or any possible contamination, this is self lubricated bearing (bearing is already greased).

•Item: 626RS Ball Bearing
•Type: Deep Groove Ball Bearing
•Material: Chrome Steel
•Closures: 2 Rubber Seals
•Quality: Electric Motor Quality
•Dimensions: 6mm x 19mm x 6mm/Metric
•ID (inner diameter)/Bore: 6mm
•OD (outer diameter): 19mm
•Width/Height/thickness: 6mm
•Quantity: One Bearing
•Dynamic load rating Cr: 2,600 N
•Static load rating Cor: 1,050 N
•Limiting Speed:
◦Grease Lubrication: 35,000 RPM
•Equal: 626-2RS1 & 626-2RZ

Point to remember............

If you use an open ball ballbearing then you will have to grease it and that will be messy and no good for dusty situations
Thats why its best to go for the 2R-S or ZZ sealed bearings.....
2R-S is the rubber seal which is perfect for the aplication in which you going to use it.....
ZZ is the steal seal which is over kill for this job......

Sorry if the info is to much or i got carried away..... just M2C worth....

Those are not open bearings. I have the same ones in my slide setup and they have black covers on either side.

Johno (Mr Bearing Man), from the above specs it seems like the bearing I'm going to use takes three times the load compared to the 626? Or am I understanding them incorrectly. It is definately a sealed bearing with plastics on the side, so no dust (and all-and-all) goes in there...

And secondly I don't need them to go at 35K RPM, 17K RPM should just do fine... unless I really jerk out that roller drawer and perhaps need a really quick beer :acute:

Also I think a hole of 6mm might not be enough, compared to 12mm... Remember all the weight will be sitting not only on the bearing, but also on the bolt that goes between the bearing, wouldn't it?

How much would the 626 go for compared to the 6201?

Thanks, I'm also leaning towards that... phoned someone here in Centurion today, but he wasn't available, so left a message to phone back, hopefully they can help...
Otherwise anyone else knows of someone?

Can I bend 2mm or won't this be sutable? Don't want it too heavy either.

It's just the RPM's that worries me, do you think the bearings will handle the speed of the drawer? :lmao:

You can use 2mm as long as you go for the same shape as lip channel as it is stronger....

As for the bearings andy 2R-S bearing will do...
You WILL be supprised how much weight a M6 HT bolt can hold but if you a little worried about the weight the add a bearing or stick to the M12 bolt....

Mmm nou waar kry ek so iemand?

En Outdoorwarehouse sin is so 110mm breedt.

Lekker man Werner! Nou begin dinge spoed optel! HAHA!

wag vir dit...

'n measly R300 bokke.

Sal more beter foto's neem...

Nice man Werner!

Hierso is n paar foto's:

Thanks, Well there's still lots and lots to do, from stuff I still want to change in the canopy to a roof console to rocksliders. Will see what road it leads me...
