Recovery Points....Completed!

Post by BenRich »

As my Lux does not have proper recovery points at the back, I decided to make some descent points myself

Using 10mm steel plate and going to attach to towbar assembly (also 10mm steel) with four M12 Hi-Tensile bolts each.

Hole's for shackles are 20mm and will fit during the week...Will post more pictures as I progress (FINISHED THEM YESTERDAY)

:surrender: The use of the magazine is purely for size illustration...and by no means any relation to the size of the Patrol on the cover.. :taunt:

My eerlike antwoord - Ja

My vraag is nou met hoeveel boute is jou towbar mee vas? Ek weet ek "state nou die obvious" maar 'n ketting is so sterk soos sy swakste skakel.

It's as Cassie said .... the weakest link. There appear to be only two bolts through the chassis .... and then there's the chassis itself, how thick is the chassis rail at the back. I know I tore those holes on my previous lux and had to reinforce them with an internal gusset and bigger holes for two bigger (thicker - 16mm) HT bolts. :winkx:

:aggresive:

Ek het gewen...
