Hilux Spotlights

Post by Kaaskrul »

On My Fortuner I mounted them straight onto the nudgebars lower bar.

Problem was, they jumped up and down on rough roads. So did not want to do the same with the Hilux.

Removed nudgebar, took n piece of stainless square tubing, 25 by 25 and 3mm thick.
Mounted the stainless in between teh two points were the bullbar mounts on chassis.

Then I mounted the spot brackets onto the stainless.

Refit nudgebar

Headlights are Xenon
Spots are the Hella Comet 500 Black Editions.

Looking nice but I also hope you used some silicone at the back to seal them when doing water crossings

Looks great
ditto on the watercrossings.
Also don't know much 'bout the vigo but the vents behind the sports will have limited airflow.
What are they used for?

2 lights per relay.
Connected onto brights, with also two lights per switch if I dont want them working on brights.
Lights are sealed if you take them out of plastic housing, only place you can seal it is where the globe goes in

Not much less airflow onto radiator where they are now hey

Mount it under your spotlight rail. Should be easy enough. ;-)
