DIY ammo crate drawer
Thought I will upload this for my toppi, just a simple slide for 4 ammo crates for his trailer. He used Connect-it blocks, but reinforced it a bit.
To go on top I suggested 2 "milk crates" just for those loose items....
Slides: 2 x 1meter R400 each
Catches: 2 x R70 each
Alu Angle iron: 3 x 3m R119 each
Alu Square tube: 2 x 6m R170 each
Connect it block: about R40 for the lot
Other bits.....
Total R1700

Re: DIY ammo crate drawer
Very nice! I don't know these sliders, so maybe a dumb question, but here goes: what's the weight rating on those sliders? If ammo boxxes A & B are a bit heavy, won't they bend? Seem to recall some clever kaalkop oomie in a white lab coat saying something about long levers and a place to stand and moving the earth...
I feel a lot less wise at 45 than I did at 15.

90Kg capacity on 450mm extension, so at full length that 90kg drops, I don't have the facts but would think it will handle 45kg. But these crates will not be loaded with bricks in any case

Nice design,simple but effective
Great thing about those connectors, you can carry spares, where welding alli in the bush becomes a problem.
