battery box

Hi guys, how necessary is it to place batteries in a battery box when fitted in the back of my bakkie?

Not necessary,just needs to be strapped down well.I like the box for the reason i can take the fridge and battery unit out and let it stand in the tent. :thumbup:

I've got some space behind my drawers which I think is ideal for the two batteries, by they don't fit if in boxes

Just make sure you cover the poles so that there is no accidental short circuit
