Build your own bead lock rims.

Post by Workhorse »

I know this has been covered before. I have a set of 12j alloy rims on my lux. They have been on for almost 8 years and its time to change. Went looking for rims couldn't find anything that I liked so I decided to change my rims to give my lux a different look. I want a bead lock look. So the work begins. First thing to do is design a allay ring to fit to my rim and send for laser cutting.

Interesting, keep us updated.

There is one guy in CT that has done it on ally and it works well.

I'm on my second set of beadlocks (Steelies), one of the best mods you'll ever do

Hi Allan these are not going to serve the purpose of a bead lock. Going for the look of a bead lock. At a latter stage I will do the process of making them fully functional as bead locks. I had two sets of rings laser cut with the intention to make it full bead locks the other set I have sent for anodizing hoping to get the back tomorrow. Then the fitting process begins :eh: :eh: :eh: :eh:

Well the guys at Supa Quick only had to move two of the wheels weights by 2-3mm, other two ok. I made up a jig to mount the rings so that they were perfectly center.
