bio fuel from prickly pear

Post by Musselcracker »

Hi there

I have just read a book my an old writer for the Cape Times namely the great Lawrence G green ...

Who writes about taking a trip up from Cape Town to Harare in a car running of fuel made by Prickly Pear!

I think this is a great idea as prickly pear grows thickly around South Africa as an Alien invasive

has anyone heard anything more about this in recent years?

Should be possible but more viable would be the american aloe that they make tequila from as can be harvested at any time of year.
