Amsterdam to electrify its entire bus fleet

Amsterdam to electrify its entire bus fleet (While SA spend their time breaking down statues and killing foreigners)
Many European cities are testing battery-electric buses, and now Amsterdam has announced that it will convert its entire bus fleet. The city council and bus firm GVB have agreed that the first batch of 40 buses will be replaced by electric vehicles in two years, and by 2025 the entire fleet will be electric. The ferries over the Ij waterway between the city center and the Noord district will also be powered by electricity.

“This project means we are saying goodbye to symbolic behaviour and pilot projects,” Transport Alderman Abdeluheb Choho told the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant. “We have decided to just do it, not to experiment with five buses.”

The Dutch cities of Brabant, Utrecht and Maastricht also have pilot electric bus projects underway. Bus company Abellio, which is owned by the Dutch national railway firm NS, has submitted a proposal to electrify the 300 buses operating in Limburg province.
