What’s even faster than “ludicrous?” Ask students at Germany’s University of Stuttgart, who have set a new world record for acceleration. With observers from the Guinness Book of World Records looking on, the Green Team Formula race car shot to 100 kilometers per hour in 1.779 seconds – faster than a Formula One racer, or the world’s fastest street-legal car, the Bugatti Veyron.

The lightweight vehicle has four motors and a 6.62 kWh battery pack.

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Would love to know more of the TIRES .... the real problem with this type of acceleration is not the power, but getting the tires to USE that power, rather than just spinning away ..... probably find they have state of the art "anti-slip" software that controls the power feed to each wheel.
