Moer, I have been trying for 2 hours and can't get an image onto my signature.
I uploaded photos to photobucket, right clicked, copy shortcut, pasted between brackets and get this: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image.
What now?
Also how does one include these Smilies in your message body?

Thank you!

Forgot to mention photo is resized to 120 x 70 pixels. Very small.

Chris, the signature pics are not stored on the site database, so if one were able to upload direct of your local drive, your signature pics would be missing if you were not on line.

Ian, what program are you using to re-size your images? It could be that the actual size doesn't correlate with the reported size, ...... Cassie can help you more with the reasons for the error.

IRO the smilies, they appear as BB codes in the message composition text box .... the actual smiley images appear in the posted text. ;-)

I am using microsoft office (2010) picture software.

http://s1297.beta.photobucket.com/user/ ... sort=3&o=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I tried this as well:
http://s1297.beta.photobucket.com/user/ ... sort=3&o=4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Do you drag the smilies across? That doesnt seem to work?

I appreciate the help.

In photobucket you only have to click on the following textbox:
photobucket1.JPG
photobucket1.JPG (24.61 KiB) Viewed 28880 times
It will then automatically copy the link to your clipboard. All you do then is come to the forum (either in a post or signature editor) and paste.

It will then automatically add the image tags etc. It should then look something like this :

Code: Select all

[IMG]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh60/CasKru/desert-landscape-Hilux-2.gif[/IMG]
Which in his case is this picture:
Image

Regarding the smileys, while you are editing a post you will see smileys to the left like I see now
smilies.jpg
(65.22 KiB) Downloaded 8095 times
Once you click on one of them, it will insert code that represents the smiley, something like

Code: Select all

 :cooldude:
Which is this character :cooldude:

Only once you submit the post will it show the actual character.

dit gebeur partykeer.

Gebruik dan eerder die tags

Code: Select all

[img_resize][/img_resize]
in plaas van die

Code: Select all

[img][/img]

As jy foto 800x600 of kleiner is kan jy net hier in photobucket click:
photobucket1.JPG
photobucket1.JPG (24.61 KiB) Viewed 28833 times
