The Red Bridge if you dare 4x4 Trail Queenstown

Post by SYRON CONVERSIONS »

The Queenstown 4X4 Club
Invitation to the next 4x4 trail and AGM

Seem that the club has not been very active this year for various reasons, I have decided that it is now time to at least try and get things rolling again, thus you, your family and friends are invited to our next 4x4 trail that will be held on the 30th August 2008 which is a Saturday.

Time: 13h30 we will meet alongside the JHB main road across from JJ and leave shortly there after at 13h45, late comers will have to follow behind.

Venue: We will enter through The Queenstown Quarry entrance towards “White City” there is a gate that must be kept closed all the time. Follow the gravel road, Red Bridge take a right and follow the river there is a basic track or just follow the tyre tracks, depending on how many vehicle’s and the time we will stop along the way and have our AGM Meeting. Yes an AGM Meeting will be held out in the open, our “club house” consists of the valleys, mountains, streams and rivers.
This trail is up The Lesseyton River no entry is required, it is FREE.

What to bring:
If you are an existing paid up member of this club please bring your club fees, if you are wanting to join the club, you will have to pay a once off R100. entry fee and then your R100. yearly fee.
Bring your refreshments and goodies to eat along the way, some chairs and most important your 4x4.
This event is open to anybody who has an interest in the outdoors and enjoys using a vehicle to get to places that normal vehicle’s cannot.
Please let me know either by sms or email that you will be joining us for a fun filled day of 4x4ing.
Please note the meeting will not take long, I am making a few changes to this club and will be running it my way with the help of a small committee, like what I did when this club was first formed in 1999.

Thus PLEASE make an effort to attend this event.

Pictures do not show the true terrain that a vehicle is driving on, but I am busy uploading some just for you to check out and have a laugh of your own.

Simon are you using your phone or a network specific modem :?:
If you are using your phone then cancel your data bundles if you are on contract and buy a MTN pre-paid sim it only costs about R2. Then you can buy airtime and convert it into a data bundle (no difference in price).
The reason that MTN is better is because they use "edge" and I am assuming that if your internet is slow you are not picking up a 3G signal as is the case with me to :(
Without 3G signal Vodacom will pick up GPRS (veeery!! slow) no idea  why they dont use edge :?
MTN however will make use of edge first before dropping to GPRS if edge is available

Not going to make a difference Simoan.. You're still trying to shove the same amount of data thru the same guage pipe whether you are sending email or uploading to the forum.. and it seems like you got a teensy weensy little thin pipey there mate

No worries I will wait for them peekchas.. I will just give you crappola over them till I got them...

Simon have you downloaded Irfanview yet :?:
If you are resizing pics in photobucket it will waste allot of time, it is much better to do it in irfanview and then upload your resized pics
Here is the link if you want to download http://www.irfanview.com/ or I can give it to you next time I see you.
I think the entire program is only about 1.3meg so it isn't a big download :Geek: :D:

At least in Queenstown you have the option of ADSL out here Telkom wont install it because they say there are not enough subscribers :o: :x :x
How do they even know how many subscribers they will have unless they offer the service :?: :?:
