The Hangklip Mountain 4x4 Trail near Queenstown

8) Yes this is one big vast area that we visit but do not find the time to visit it enough, this area is basically state land, but the local people from this area use the grass for grazing, but we also have obtained permission to use it, there is basically one track running through this area, which leads up to the rear of Hangklip Mountain, but there are no internal fences, not many trees, but a huge amount of beautiful flowers, Cycads and many small streams, many places where the water pours out of the ground known to Man as Springs, you can drink this water without having to worry about bugs, it is crystal clean, the cattle have been drinking it for many years.

Tis area is so very vast that if you do not know your bearings you can get lost, it is more than 25 000 hectars, we are going there again on the 3rd June but depending if there is still snow about,we might even go out this Sunday, there has been snow ontop and the surrounding ares the last fw days, thus with the cold weather it might still be there.

Enjoy the pic's and add your comments.

From where we are standing, as far as you can see towards that huge mountain in the far distance, this is Hangklip Mountain, we drive in any direction as we please, but be aware, we also do get stuck while crossing through mash lands, over small streams, which normally have thick black muds on the edges.
This is when or where the fun begins, normally the first vehicle get through easy, but the last has to find another section to cross.

When we go and drive, we explore, and you never know what is around the next hill or the corner or over the rocks.
