Attention Gauteng!

Post by Mud Dog »

Received this mail, if anyone is interested - maybe even display a Hilux Club presence. ;-)

Hi Andy

I spoke to Mark Schubert about you guys attending our event and displaying some vehicles and marketing your club,

there is no cost involved to display. If you do not wish to have an official presence on the day then we would appreciate it

if you could make your Gauteng club members aware of the event if they would like to attend

Below is the info on the Event. We would really like to have some "serious 4x4’s" on display for the day.

If you know of any other clubs ,companies etc who would be interested please pass this mail onto them.

We have an event called the "Xtreme fest" taking place at Rusty Hook ( Honeydew) on Saturday the 29th November.

the Event will be for One Day only. Please see attached Map layout of the event

The event has four sides to it

1. The Xtreme side: All different Xtreme sports will be on display and giving demonstrations / promoting their business / Activities etc.

Some of the companies and Xtreme sporters are :

Wakeboarding and wake skating displays by top SA wake boarders

Flow riding displays

RGM Motor sport with cars on display

TurtleWax with cars on display

Exclusive Mods with cars on display

Creative Rides with cars on display

Super Bikes displays

Lamborghini & super cars displays

Car & Sound displays

4 x 4 displays

Off road Motor biking displays

2. The Marketing and awareness side:

Locally Whipped magazine

On track Magazine

Mix FM Broadcasting live from event & the weeks prior

3. The Xtreme market:

We are offering anyone who is Xtreme sports related to get involved. Set up small stalls to sell items or market their company and or display any kind of vehicle or motor cycle that will appeal to this type of event (Free of a vendors charge)

4. The Music and festival side:

We have a strong line-up of DJ’s starting at 12pm till 12am creating a vibe

There will be live screening of the rugby inside and outside

Fenced off Beer gardens with controlled entrance for 18 and over.

Live Bands inside Rusty Hook premisses.

We are expecting App 2 000 people to attend the event

The event will start at 12 o’clock midday and finish at

12 midnight.

The overall meters squared for the space available is 16 485 m2 of witch 7626 m2 is allocated to parking

We have three controlled security entrances and a combined total of four emergency exits.

Saint johns ambulance will be present on the day for the duration of the event.

There is a controlled Kiddies area with jumping castles, slides, pony rides, feed the ducks and other activities. NB: All children entering this area must

be supervised by a responsible parent and no children are to be left unattended
The security company is “Night Guard” who will provide a security plan and relevant personnel for the duration of the event. Night Guard will also have a stand and be marketing themselves on the the day and so we will benefit from having additional vehicles and personnel

On the premises.

I did tell Karl that the Heidelberg GTG is on the same weekend, so he is aware, but as you say maybe someone who's not going to the GTG might want to check it out. ;-)
