"Southern Cape Steynbergh GTG"

Post by Johannes van die See »

Manne!

By now we all know about the serious accident Andre Steynbergh (DustyDre) and passengers were in, and most of our forum members have
actively participated in fund raising activities to support Tymme and Zayleigh.

As a token of appreciation Andre insisted on hosting a braai to thank all the forum member for their love and support and on this note
it was suggested that a Southern Cape Get Together is not such a bad idea after all.

Allow me to kick off the start of "Southern Cape Steynbergh GTG" dedicated to Andre, Brigette, Andy, Tymme and Zayleigh.

Andre proposed going to Bonniedale on the weekend of 19-21 march

Suggestions welcome.

Please participate.

Mark

The first proposal was made for the weekend of 19-21 March, obviously this is flexible, well I hope, as I might not be able to make it for this specific weekend.

It would be lekke to have you guys from up north with us for this gathering!

It's strange Johannes, but just a little earlier this morning I was looking at the calendar and thinking about this event. I thought that the Easter weekend would be ideal from the point of view that there is enough time for traveling and still make a weekend out of it without loosing 'working days' ..... and of course Easter symbolizes new life, which all the occupants of Andre's vehicle, especially Tymme, were given a chance at after that horrific accident.

The downfall is that the Easter weekend is a busy time on the roads as well as for accommodation, people usually arrange in advance with bookings where they are going, and we may have left it a bit too late. Just my thoughts.

Nonetheless, whenever it is to be held, I will be keen and would like to see as many of the guys that are also keen being able to attend. Maybe if you were to contact Andre' and find out from him when would be a suitable time for you both (and of course Tymme & Andrew too), and set the dates. Then we can all work around it and make arrangements.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

Hi Andy

From what it looks like almost everyone made plans to go somewhere over easter weekend, it would have been ideal for a GTG.
Well I think we should keep this post alive, the best opportunity will arise at the best time.

Andre, any luck with future opportunities in CT area yet? Keep us updated wrt. whats happening.

Cheers
