They're common around here and as Bennie said, a noxious weed. If i'm not mistaken it's an alien invader. Don't know what they're called though. :think:

Die 2e een lyk baie na die Tsamma of Bitter Tsamma. Dit kom algemeen voor in die Kalahari en ook in die Karoo.

Xanthium spinusum- Kategorie 1 verklaarde onkruid.

Word juis die boetebossie genoem want dis 'n bossie wat jou 'n boete kos.

Die eerste paar fotos lyk vir my soos olieboom, ek het hom leer ken as stinkolie. Datura stramonium. Ook bekend as malpitte wat mens laat halusineer en kan doodmaak as jy dom genoeg is om die pitte te eet.

Die boetebossie wat ek leer ken het, was heelwat kleiner, met dorings op die stam. Sy saad het weerhake wat in veral skape se wol vassit en so versprei, en groot verliese veroorsaak as die wol vol van die goed is.

Ek moes baie met my grootword op die plaas die goed gaan uitskoffel.
