What spider?

Post by Harold »

Can some one tell me which Golden-orb spider this is, I can't find any that have similar markings. Seen at Weenen game reserve.

Bretton

I side with your wife M8, although I wouldn't be around it long enough to spray it with doom let alone take any pics of it .

I hate those things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Come on fellows; can't believe the fear you have for spiders?

Me: well I'm terrified of Mosquitoes; they kill; they kill many - thousands in fact.
Spiders trap and eat mosquitoes - so in my book they are frinds not enemies.
Similarly I do not like flies; spiders also eat flies.

Be interesting to know how many people die of spider bites?

Guys, are there any good quick reference books on spiders, especially African spiders(exept the rock ones)? I have the Sasol booklet but it's not really comprehensive.
