Usual story ..... no EIS and red tape avoided to push a controversial development with obscured connections to someone with some clout from you know where ..... :silent: :problem:

But just you take out a stumpnose that not size, they come down on you so hard, it will make your bakkie spin.
I'm not going to get all emotional over this. You all know langebaan is my fav spot - although she been very harsh with me of late, I still love her :-(

BUT, Why is it that the newspapers has to tell this government what's going on in this country.
Same thing with show like Cart Blanche, 3rd degree etc.
How can R100 million project get off the ground with nobody know about it.

But isn't it always the case... government depart was not avail for comment.
They get up to all kinds of nonsense, then all they say is - Eish.
That's like the official get out of jail word in this country

Shaakir it is because it is in the military grounds next to Langebaan Lagoon and they think that because it is special forces they can do as they like. There is nobody there to watch over their shoulders, nobody are allowed to go in there because it is special forces grounds.

Besides not doing and environmental impact study they also did not do the thing where you must allow the public to comment on the proposed development (publieke deelname proses) They actually did none of anything you are supposed to do before building something like that.

The little R93k fine they good is a drop in the bucket if you compare it to the R100 million size of the project and besides that, even if you give them a ten billion rand fine they won't mind because it is our tax payer money they use to pay the fine anyway.

The sad thing is that no mater how high we jump they will just continue and complete the project.
