Trekking with the Gorillas was one of the best things I have done in my life!!!!!! Alot of money (US500 on the Uganda side and US750 on the Ruanda side) but def. worth it.

I think they're majestic creatures. That old silver-back could probably tear a human limb from limb with little or no effort but I don't believe that they are aggressive by nature. I have no doubt they will react to a treat, real or perceived, but all the literature I have come across indicates that they are gentle and nurturing with a mild curiosity. I would love an opportunity like that ... to actually spend time amongst them after gaining their confidence.
