Looks like a Woodlouse Hunter. Have become relatively common, and yes they are also found in the Western cape. (They also predate on beetles and other small insects, not just woodlice). ;-)

From the harmless house spiders to the venomous widows, the family Theridiidae includes a large and diverse group of arachnids. Chances are there's a cobweb spider somewhere in your house right now.

Family: Theridiidae
Habitat: in build-up areas; in trees; in webbing under stones; on rocks or in creivices of rocks; on bushes and plants or in low base vegetation.
Theridiids are very small to large spiders. They have a globose abdomen and long legs, of which the third pair is the shortest.
Danger: Venomous.

Is it possible for you to get a closer photo of the spider, especially the legs?

Gaan nog steeds nie werk nie, jy sal sien, gaan probeer maar. As jy kwaai inzoom moet jy die kamera baie stil hou en jy bewe gans te veel daarvoor.
Ons wag in spanning vir daai kiekie
