It was untill they build a new dam and flooded half of the rapids. You use to be able to raft from the Kariba dam wall but Uganda wanted more hidro power so the ended up building another dam wall about 10km down. Ended up making another smaller dam below the Kariba dam.
Its the second best commercial rafting river in africa, Zambezi still kick big #ss.

Zak, What planet do you live on?? Kariba and Uganda are almost 2000Km apart!!! There is no smaller dam 10Km below the Kariba Dam!! If it is in Uganda then you are talking about the Nile!!
Just because it says "4WD" doesn't make it an off-road vehicle.
