It looks like time has come for the annual flowers to show themselves. A few pics taken by a friend of mine. They were taken near Springbok at a place called Concordia. It looks like the flowers are going to be awesome this year, I hope so.

Nice its amazing I drove down from the river 2 weeks ago and the quiver trees around Springbok was in full bloom. According to the locals in the area that is always a good indication that we will have a amazing flower season. I wonder if the flowers on the West Coast has started to come out.

When is the best month to go? I intend to do a trip this year - should it be August or September?
Weather probably more settled in September.

Harold if you are only doing Richterveld I would say anything from beginning August. Day temp at the river at the moment is amazing average of 25 degrees Celsius day temp.

That is good news. Yes, unless we get drastic cold or heat I think we will have a good flowering season.
Nothing in Langebaan yet but I am sure they will stick out their heads soon.
