Speeding in National Parks

While driving in the West Coast National park this Easter I first hand experienced the "speeding" issue. The speed limit is 50 km/h and 9 vehicles passed me at least twice that speed........now me think do they all rush to the same emergency or is it different ones or are they just the finger up type

I also experienced this in Kgalagadi TF Park last year. They were mostly shiny SUV's with all the trimmings and ** numberplates that roared past. Unfortunately the Parks officials are also guilty of speeding in the parks..

My vehicle was almost taken out by a speeding Mahindra Scorpio in KTP in December. The guy was coming round the bend on my side of the road. He swerved out of the way at the last second! Don't you know speed limits are rough guidlelines, you can drive any speed you want in this country! :evil:

I strictly stick to the 150km/h speed limit in any park...
