SOme pics of the storm in CT this morning... funny thing, as I drove to work, I was blinded by the flashes, but not one peep of thunder....

We heard it here in Pinelands at about 7am. Really really impressive pictures, and watching the show live from our office window was a privilege.

I though I was seeing things(again) as I walked out the door... I also noted loads of lightning and no thunder... whats up with that... a sneaky storm... the weather service didn't expect it either!

At first I thought it was speed cameras flashing at me, until I drove over Tygerberg hill and saw the light show towards table mountain.

"Silent Thunder" .... Hmmmm .... Now that's a contradiction in terms, but I'll let you know it's possible ... If you want proof all you need is to witness one of SWAMBO's glaring stares when she's angry

just a note on the pics.... firstly they not mine... got them on mail doing the rounds as usual - don't want to get sued by the owner

Secondly it looks for real, but who would be taken pics of thunder storm, sitting in the water. Maybe the keen photographers can shed some light (pardon the pun) on these pics. Real or not?

They look real enough ... some of the reflections in the water don't quite look 100's but then one never knows foe sure with ripples on the surface. At first I thought they could have been taken from a boat but if you look at the first pic you can see a quay side.
I'm not sure, but I think they're real. What do others think? ..... Niel?
