Post by biglux »

Going to moz in june,80km north of xai xai.

Thanks!
The reason why I ask about the condition of the road is that I broke my trailer there 4 years ago.It was real bad back then!

Thanks CJ!
Going to Vilanculos, you probably know that as far as potholes go there is a real bad stretch just after Maxixe.

Here is my update the N1 heading up the coast towards Vilanculos is in great shape and the road works is ongoing but had no serious potholes or bad shoulders. The road to Masingir is terrible there is roadworks being done but. The Merc ML with us lost a tyre and rim on that stretch of road. If you take it easy and dont rush it will be worth the trip, just ensure you have time on your side. any other questions I will answer as good as possible so feel free to ask I would just need to refer to the map with better details of the realy bad sections

I'l becoming from kruger. Is the bad stretch the tar road just after masingir.
For how many k's do you have to handle potholes?
The Hilux will cope ,but I am worried about my brother's Kombi and the trailers.

From the Giriyondo border post you pass through the Limpopo park with large speedhumps and a lot of dust if you share the road with other roadusers, the kombi and trailer should cope. The ral bad stretch is between Masingir and Chokwe .I would rather do this section during daylight because the closer to the coastal regions the better the roads.
