I need some advice please.
I have a Hilux 2.7i D/C 4x4 with a fiberglass canopy(Andy Cab Roadrunner) and would like to get an aluminum roof rack made.
The roof rack must be able to carry at least a 2nd spare wheel , 3x20l Jerry cans , 1x 3kg gas bottle , 40l of water and maybe a 20kg tent.
The question is where is the best (or safest) place to mount the canopy:1)On the roof rack or 2) on the roof of the car?
Thanks
Thinus

Re: Best place for Roof rack ?
Probably on the roof of the DC itself. That way, the weight would be spread more evenly between the front & rear axles. Some fibreglass canopies can, however, easily be adequate in carrying additional weight, while with others it might be best to check with the Manufacturer first.
