My fuel consumption dropped!

I got 790kms off the last tank of diesel. Filled up and it took around 67l

thats about 12km/l or 8.3l/100kms

only thing i did different was add a bottle of injection cleaner last time i filled + i recently started travelling form Midrand to PTA so lots more driving on the highway (wont call it a freeway coz its not free in any sense of the word)

Try to keep to 110km/h and do not go into boost much

I'm really impressed with the bakkie.

But then, the wife's RunX is now doing 7.1l/100kms = 14km/l
Blerry hell some hybrid cars have that consumption!!
That thing is Super lite! Especially considering its an 1800cc
again, i used a bottle of the wynns injection cleaner and in addition i did an oil service

I get the same results when I add a bottle of injector cleaner every 5000km or so. About a km/l improvement.

Another stupid question, do you add this to your diesel intake? Where do you add this magic stuff I seriously need to do something to mine, but have to add the roof top tent won't help much will it

Since I changed the tires to BF 31" my consumption dropped nearly 2k's per liter!!!!!

Gooi dit in by die diesel filler cap, ek gooi myne is as my bakkie se petrol naaldjie net so onder half is. Een bottletjie werk op 50l diesel.

Dankie Jacques, so een vir elke 50Lt, beteken ek moet so 3 en half in gooi op die twee tanks (70Lt en 88Lt)?

Jeeze watse injector cleaner is dit??? Ek kry maar net 550km op n tenk, maar dis nou met 32" bande.

Jip, dit werk. Het toevallig laasweek injector cleaner in die Ford gegooi. Het my brandstof verbruik met so 0.8km/l verbeter.

How safe is this Injector cleaner?
Are we sure it doesnt damage injectors?

Yes it does work for petrol, Don't know if there will be a change on consumption, only done it with diesel. Keep in mind, as far as I know it is recommended only every 5000km's.

No side effects that I know of, used it about 10 times every 5000km, nothing bad so far

yip no side effects besides reliable injectors (touch wood) :)

1 bottle for 50L. Dewald what you can do is estimate when you have about 50L left and add it. instead of adding 3 bottles coz of your long range tank.

Yes it works for petrol as well. Just add it to your fuel tank.

Its suggested that you add it at the garage before filling up. This way it gets to mix properly with the fuel as its all swirled around.

i dont use it expecting fuel savings but rather as a preventative measure. its to keep my injectors clean

i only trust the wynns coz they well known and have been in the game for ages

you can get it from Game or any spares shop, midas etc

Hope this helps. Important to use it only every 5000km,s and NOT with every fill up. So don,t put 3 bottles in if you have a 150l tank. It is suppose to treat 50l fuel every 5000km,s

I use WM Penn valve ease; cleans injectors as well. On the Polo I got about 120km more on a tank. Also add the contents to a full tank; the bottle goes in the trash...
