Hi All,
A friend of mine is looking at a 96-97 Hilux 2.4P that he can get in the George area.
He saw the Hilux and while looking at it the guy came out of the shop and he asked him
if the Hilux is for sale. The body has no dents or putty on it...still in excelent condition.
The price is R90 000 neg.
This is what has been done to the vechile.
1. Engine has been overhauled
2. Gearbox and Transfer box has been overhauled recently
3. New side shafts
4. New wheel barrings
5. Carb has been overhauled
6. Long range tank (65 l)
7. Propshaft (rear) is a new one
8. Dual battery system
9. 29 Mhz radio
10. 3 Core radiator
11. Tyres has about 30 000Km left on it
12. Rubberized loading bin
13. Canopy on
Is this a good price?

Re: Is this a decent price for a Hilux
SFA Hilux owners can ask whatever they want, but I agree with Cassie. OTOH, there is no way I would let Bulldog, 1987 vintage, go for a price as low as that Not now, anyhow, with all the extras fitted and Bennie's hard work. Bulldog is here to stay, and I think it's time I looked for a spare SFA Hilux so I will always have the one or the other, but preferably both, available at any given time. Just joking, but Bennie put me up to this wicked idea when he had four Hilux's parked in his yard last week Just think, one for each colour of the rainbow...

Eric, I like the idea but you do know that you will need 7 vehicles if you want to represent all the colours of the rainbow?Family_BullDog wrote:SFA Hilux owners can ask whatever they want, but I agree with Cassie. What I have found is that the second hand cars in Jhb is a lot cheaper than down here in Cape Town.
When I bought my Lux my sister bought a 2002/3 KZTE for R1 000 more than I paid for mine and that was the going rate down here.
So looking at that....it does not seem to bad if he is willing to take R85 000 though?
Any thoughts?

Re: Is this a decent price for a Hilux
Just remember that vehicles away from the coast have less change for rust, and if it is R10000 or R15000 cheaper, its money to spend on extras.
