Alu Canopy

Post by louis fourie »

I have this idea of building my own Alu canopy, but I need a AC/DC TIG welder. Depending on the cost of a Alu Canopy I might just justify it.

I however am contemplating the idea, maybe, of rather buying one and spare myself all the effort.

Which Alu canopies are out there which is good value for money?

Louis why not do a steel frame canopy with alu sides ,the weight difference does not seem to be excessive

Yip, decisions, decisions, decisions. Die staalraam idee het ek ook nog nie heeltemal laat vaar nie.

What wall thickness did you use, 1.6 mm or 2 mm?
