LED back brake tail lights.

Hi All.
Hopefully can get a answer or 2 here. My right rear brake light has now blown the 3dr time in 4 months. Don't know why, even when my bakkie went for a service I asked them to check and see if there is problem. But they couldn't find anything wrong. So yesterday I went and bought the led replacement tail lights. Put them in, checked them and all seemed fine (never checked with the tailgate up)
I drove home last night and when I got home I saw that my tailgates brake light stays on.... any idea why? is the led's causing the tail light to short, is it bad for the wires? Any body done this mod before that can help or advice, it would be great. Other wise I would just have to put the bulbs back in and replace the tail light every 2nd or 3rd month..

My gues is you put in a single action LED light into a dual action socket and with your parking lights being on, it powered the LED

Not all double contact LED replacements work in Toyotas.

I tested many of them and because Toyota has this floating earth thing (of which somebody like Cassie can explain more) they do not work.

You need to get one which is not polarity sensitive.

Most of the ones I tested will work on park light but not work on brake light, or visa versa.

The ones we sell at 4x4Direct works as they should.

Hulle is op die lughawe, as almal wat moet werk maandag werk sal daar maandag weer wees. Ek dink egter daar is in langebaan, sal dat hulle gou more kyk en jou laat weet.
