Guys I installed an Android 4.44 Kitkat version in my Prado 90 series. Everything works perfectly save that I receintly found out that the Prado 90 series DOES NOT send out info via the diagnostic port. My radio came with a bluetooth adapter that fits into the diagnostic port and could have sent info like temp, oil pressure, revs etc etc to the radio to vie on an app.

I feel the Android is a better OS than the Windows once, which is WinCE. There are more free apps for Android and as I said everything works well.

Let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns.

Correction, the 90 series like the Hilux KZ-TE has a OBD2 port. Diagnostic and realtime info is available via the port. BUT its is sent using Toyota's proprietary m-obd protocol. Only certain OBD2 android apps can understand the protocol. The only one i have found to be working was the OBD2 car doctor https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... octor_full" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks Johan. Will check it out and revert to you with feedback. Johan, to your knowledge, is the OBD2 port just under the drivers side of the dashboard, cos thats what i have been using?

Where did you buy your radio from? Can you perhaps post some pics? Do you know if it's possible to install home made apps?

Which OBD reader do you use with that setup? I assume it is one of the Bluetooth ones?

Thanks

Ek gooi sommer net my android foon in die speedo cluster as ek ry...hehe.

Die radio is net 'n gewone Pioneer met USB en blou tanne
