Raad oor bande
So manne dis tyd dat ek bande moet vervang op my 2011 3.0 S/C.

Re: Raad oor bande
I am replacing my BF AT's 31 X 10.5 R15 tyres with the General Grabber 265/65/R15
At R1650 fitted per tyre it is simply too good to ignore! At almost double the price the BF's are just too over priced.
This is the first time I am moving away from BF's since I bought my 2.7 in 2005

I also looked at the Pirelli Scorpions which were just slightly more, but it appears as if the Grabber is a better buy.

I am also running on General Grabbers and currently have done about 60k with them with a possible 10 to 12 safe usable tread left.Great value for money.

Re: Raad oor bande
I have travelled approx 60 % on tar ,about 30 % on gravel roads and the balance in the bush. The tyres are very quiet on the tar and I am very happy with their wet road handling as well as their dirt road performance.
At about 10k ,I cut the side wall on the tyre whilst reversing into a clients yard in the Transkei.I suspect a sharp bone or spike laying among the garbage in the yard was the culprit. I am certain this damage would have happened to any other brand of tyre as well. I had a gaiter fitted and moved the tyre to the back and ,I must admit,I was worriedabout the tyre for some time, but I have since travelled about 50k on the tyre and have rotated the tyres every 10k and cannot tell which wheel has the damaged tyre.
I am certain I still have a safe 10 to 15 k off mileage left on the tyres.

Rigger wrote:So manne dis tyd dat ek bande moet vervang op my 2011 3.0 S/C.

The General Grabbers are excellent.
We mine the sand dunes and they use those on the company 4x4's.
It is amazing how well they perform in loose sand.

The Grabbers very good, affordable tyres.

Re: Raad oor bande
Go Grabber for good value.
I put on a set of Dunlop and went slightly smaller to be the same size as off-road caravan.
Improved my cosumption figures nicely.
Dulop were improvement of my previous set -Coopers AT Tyres which chipped badly on rocks off-road. Three also perished with side-wall cuts on a single trip. Two 20 kms apart.
No complaint with the Dunlops, which I got at a good price. Hard type of tyre, so should give good milage. Heard complaints about them being slippery in the wet when tread is warn down, but then would'ent anything be?
I could have purchased the grabbers, but got Dunlop at a better price. I needed to replace 6 tyres to keep everything the same.
Good luck with your decision.
