Just trying to get an idea of what my old faithfull is worth.


255000km

Dastek Chip
63mm downpipe and full exhaust.
Front mount Intercooler
Few extra bits .....


Just checking what the general feeling is around the value.

I have seen these for as much as R140k, and few even slightly higher.

All about condition ...


some may see the extras as a good thing, some steer clear of older diesels. Some may even be put off by the chip ....


Statistically the top of the KZTE is due for replacement, if not done already. But this is way cheaper than a set of injectors on a D-4D.

Personally i feel engine mods don't do any good to the value of a vehicle. I'll say R120 000

I would venture an estimate at +- R130k
Decent Kz's are still desirable, mileage not that high and at the price of a new Hilux I think one should get that easy....even SFA's are still reaching R100k

Just out of interest - someone in Pta met me this morning to have a look at my 2000 4x4 2700i. The guy offered me R 125 000. I said I'll come back to him.

One helluva price, yes.........but what do you buy with R 125 000 ??
