2016 Hilux Recovery Points

Post by Samurai 20v »

Hey guys..

Looking for some advice on recovery points. Planning a trip to Ponta, I've done a bit of sand driving, but my mate is a complete novice to 4x4 driving, guessing may have to do some recoveries..

Been searching on here and the web, but not sure on which way to go..

Some guys are saying the front OEM hooks are strong enough to use for recoveries, others not...
There are bolt on applications (ARB, Ironman), so if the stock ones are not strong enough, can get these.
If there are any others at a good price, recommendations welcome.

For the rear, are there any bolt on applications without using the OEM towbar? I don't have a tow bar..
Do guys just use the towbar without the ball?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.
