Post by WernerJ »

Good evening all
I have a 1995 Toyota Hilux 2.8D ute column shift 5 speed manual, and I want to convert it to a floor shift.
Any suggestions? Cheers

Hi Werner,

Welcome! Here in Sunny South Africa we only have floor shift, I think the last column shift you could buy was in '95, I don't know of anybody ever doing this mod..most guys will be back online by Monday, hopefully someone will give some info..

It should be a straight forward conversion - measure where to cut the floor, bolt in gearbox and strip out column shift.
