Morning need some advise. I purchased my hilux in jhb a few years ago and it came with EFS suspension and a 30 mm lift kit in front. I have noticed that my outer cv boot rubbers don't last. Is it that the angle of the cv's is too great and that's what's causing the accessive wear on outer cv rubbers after noticing grafite grease all over my wheel arches. Next question do I add a drop kit on my front diff to lover the angle on the cv. Was thinking of adding a 25 mm spacers and extending the 2 x 14mm x 150 bolts that's hold the front diff to the support bracket. There is 2 places where I can putt the spacers in which will work perfectly but then my angle of my propshaft will be out as I can put in a 25mm spacer by the back location of the front diff. Dont know what to do. Is there any one that's done a mod like this any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm also interested in the feedback on this issue. I have been given conflicting views on this.
A friend of mine has garage. He said one of his clients had a 2004 model tazz. lowered to withing one inch of scraping on the ground. His inner CV kept buggering up. Theory was that the angle was now putting pressure on the inner cvs that it was not designed to handle.
I then spoke to someone on isuzu forum about lifting the suzie, and he mentioned that lifting will not cause this type of pressure. I would think any tampering with ride height is going to put pressure above what manufacturer designed for.
So to my simple brain it seems lower pressure on inner cvs, lift pressure on outer ????

I have also put spacers on my Hilux, same model as yours, but I only went with 22mm spacers. Apparently this is the max you can use without having to drop the front diff most likely because of the changed range of motion that the boots would have to cope with.
So far 20,000km later and the CV boots still look fine. And the bakkie at least sits level instead of dipping at the front

Usually in the font in total the lift must be 50mm only. The spacer in your picture is a 30mm. This will result in a lift of 60mm if you do not have any aftermarket bumper or winch on. This will cause the side shaft angle to go out of specification.
To keep it simple:
1. Use a 20mm spacer in the front if you have a vehicle standard. No front weight.
2. Only use the 30mm spacer in the front if you have a aftermarket replacement bumper or winch behind std bumper on, ie extra weight.
