Morning All
I have a old SFA shape Hilux and I am thinking off selling it.Problem is I am not sure what its worth so I would like some advise please.
I bought it last year May and its just a nice to have and not my Daily work bakkie. Its for playing around.
Bakkie is registered as a BUILT UP
First date of liability state 1 Jan 1984.I dont think it is a 1984 moddel.
I bougt the bakkie with a V8 Lexus engine in it and the motor is grate.(1uz moter)
Its needs some attention like
-rubbers need replacement for loadbin
-The gearbox fitted to the V8 is the standard manual gearbox working with 22R motor. So it needs a stronger gearbox.
Everything works fine. front axel had been worked on by Toyota the past December and is in 100% working order.rear brakes was done over, new drums .
all round good bakkie even has a winch.
Inside needs some attension no roof liner, real rugged.
So if anyone can asits me in giving me a value I would apresiate it.
Regards
Ben

Looks like it has had a suspension/body lift as well.
Taking a fling here, but any motor other than the original unfortunately does devalue a 'Lux, so I'm guessing about R45k would be a going price.

Re: HILUX ,WHATS IT WORTH
From the pics it looks like it's in fair nick for and old vehicle. If there is no rust and taking into account the 'extras' like winch, light bar, cattle rails, suspension mods (looks like it's also had a body lift), as well as the fact that it's not an OEM motor and that the box is not suited to the V8's torque I would still venture a higher value.
I would say that you should be realizing about 70 to 75K for the sale. Just my opinion and I think that if you find the right buyer, you might even get a little more than that.
