Fortuner Clutch

Hi All.
I replaced the "Clutch Kit" on my Fortuner this weekend..
What a job to do this.
I didn't think you had to remove so many plugs, wires & brackets to get the gearbox out.
To take out and put it back took me almost 4 hours.
Doing the job of replacing the clutch, preasure plate and the thrust bearing only took me 20 Min.
One thing I noticed is that there is a breather on the gearbox and tranfer case going to the back of the motor.
Is this normal for all the 4x4's or only from the Vigo shape onwards?
