3Y EFI gear onto 4Y

Hi there,
On a very limited budget, and sick of the very poor economy and lack of response from the old 4Y carby. So without changing to a whole different engine, if I were to pick up a 3Y-E cheap enough, what would be the best option, chuck the whole 3Y-E in? Or convert the 4Y to EFI using all the bits (obviously prefered)? But would the 3Y ecu run the 4Y well enough? I'm not familiar with how smart the standard ecu is, but surely it would compensate to some degree and run the slightly bigger engine reasonably well (at least a lot better than the standard carb)

Any input is much appreciated.
