Side Grab Handles for my Lux

Post by JJV »

Howdy all - I have a Toyota Hilux 3D 4x4, 2000 model. I am looking at fitting side grab handles into the driver and passenger pillars (similar to the Prado). Has anybody tried this or know where to start - I have not removed the plastic covers yet, but believe in some models there are already brackets and holes for these handles in the pillar??

So can I just buy some from a scrapyard and fit these or not so easy?

As always thank you for the help.

Hi, those covers pop off easy, as far as I can remember there is no place to attach handles, I would not recommend just attaching to the trim.

Thank you Thunder02 - popped them off and there are only three holes for the cover clips - no place to fix anything else unless you drill new holes, but it will be challenging to screw them in or use bolts and nuts (I don't think a pop rivet will be strong enough)

Will work on it though...
