new project.....she needs a name...

Post by Cres »

Hello

So this all started me wanting to get into 4x4ing, but my money is not all there.....so the search for a project Hilux started....i saw Lukes post about his Hilux and knew that was exactly what im looking for as i had some spare engines laying around :lmao: , so first thing first after i got her home was to add a sticker, then Sunday came around and had some spare time and i couldn't start with the engine yet so i started with the interior witch needed some valuable TLC....found some things including a hole in the floor well but noting serious. in the coming week ill wire wheel the whole floor fill all the holes and give it a lick of paint. She needs a name i'm open to all suggestions

"Hot Stuff"

but we also need to know what engine will be added to Trusty Rusty.
Gigger than normal will be "Hot Stuff", otherwise Trusty Rusty.
Character will be built...

I'm using a stock 7MGE mountings it's a bit low I know but should work 100%Image

This is the only pic I have of the engine that is going in the one in the bakkie at the moment is a dummyImage

The rust on the floor is usually caused by water dripping from the rainwater channel/air intake for the ventilation system under the windscreen. Make sure you check for rust buildup there.
Happy trails

The bakkie has a sunroof and I think it's been leaking for a while, that is the only rust there is further up is clean

Hi Pampoen, I'm not sure yet we are going to fabricate water pipes for it but if it doesn't do the job I'm going to change it
