IFS Body lift

Post by pietpetoors »

Ek dink die suspensie is gedoen deur TJM/LASport ,een of ander Black Diamond of so verstaan.

Hi Okkie,

Unfortunately my truck is not here at the moment to measure. It is having a long range tank & dual battery system fitted
by Hein @ Burnco. She should be home by Friday. Will measure then ...

Re: Lift: She has a standard 4" lift, ProComp suspension fitted, and running 32" BFG mud's.
(Height here is enough to make Marilyn's "long skirt" into a mini-skirt. He, he, he Mmmmm)

Amazing how strong those Windhoek cans are, holding up your bakkie like that

Very impressive lift, Papa Joe! Did you extend the propshafts as well?

Hi Eric,

Apparently, propshaft extension or longer one's, not needed on this 4" conversion. (But it must be close to max the limit.)
The ouens in the US (ProComp), play with this stuff all day, hopefully they know what they are doing.

My mate, James, has now had his in/on for a few years & 190 000km later (bakkie milage, not suspension),
& lot's of articulation, appears to be okay.

Trust me, this forum will be the 2nd to know, once I start putting her thru' her paces. (I will be the first to know. Oooh *a*...)

Although none of my vehicles have undergone a bodylift, they both have increased their ride height by approx 2" with the OME suspension fit. My IFS is still stock standard iro of the drive shafts, but the SFA has had the front one rebuilt, apparently it was close to its limit.

Jip Papa Joe
Now that LOOKS GOOD....
Well looked after I'd say.
Dankie vir die pic's Het so pas iets gesien op die voor kant ,dink nie my suspensie het sulke "trailing rods "as ek so kan se soos die op jou "front detail 1 en 2" wys nie ,Gaan beslis so n plan maak ,Dit sal dalk die raak van die wiel teen die runner boards so bietjie help keer ((Ek dink so))
