Rear Disk brake

Post by NicoP »

So today I was talking with a friend and he wanted a secondhand diff. No problem one phone call and he was sorted. half anhour later got a phone call from my supplier. He has another diff complete with rear disk brake on and he just wants to do a swop!! So if all goes well i will have the new diff in with brakes that works!

Hi guys I'm driving the 2x4 KZTE and she's great except for the rear brake drum system. So I was thinking of converting from drums to discs. I would like to hear from you guys on which disc break system to use and what do I need to convert or change on the rest of my bakkie

Japie, just a heads up,the rear drums are self adjusting. The trick is you have to reverse and brake hard. They then adjust. The other down fall is that they must be pampered all the time(keep an eye on the thickness),but the ultimate would be disks.

The simplest brake conversion that works all the time, I have tried and tested this for almost 5 years, I use taxis as sand pits :taunt: , also love the look on their faces when suddenly the tables are turned around. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Cost of conversion - R0.00
Effectiveness - 100%
Reliability - 100%
