Myne sukkel nou-en-dan in die oggend, nou al vir meer as 'n maand.Veral as dit koud is.
Ek het die battery en glow plugs laat toets,by `n ander plek gaan diesel gooi en die bakkie gediens, maar hy het nog steeds sy streke.
Ek sal maar hier dop hou, dalk noem iemand iets waar aan ek nie gedink het nie.

Raylite Silver Calcium.

It's the cold weather .... if a battery is getting weak, the cold pushes it over the edge. However there should be a claim on the old one .... 14 months is not acceptable.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

Hi Rood

Is the truck still battling to start? :?: Change the diesel filter, if you have not done so already, it could be a solution. On very cold mornings I've also had to turn the ignition on about 3 times, allowing for the chambers to warm up sufficiently, and then it starts with no hassles.

A weak battery could also be your problem since I suspect it is slightly harder to turn a diesel engine upon starting, and it also has to be turn fairly quickly since diesel ignites on compression and not spark as is the case in petrol engines. I stand corrected on this one but hope the fundis will advice better.
I hope this helps a bit.

Please keep us posted.
